Why Money Is My ‘Why’ (And It Should Be Yours Too)

“Your Why can’t be about making money, you must be driven by your purpose”
B*LLOCKS.
The truth is you’ll never be successful UNLESS you focus on the money.
Until you do you’ll be incapable of growing a sustainable business to serve the people you’re on a mission to help. Talk about a backfire!
Let’s take coaching (because that’s my job and this is my article!) If you coach people for free or undercharge for what you do, two things happen:
- You don’t show up with that nervous edge, knowing your client has paid a premium price to work with you so you need to deliver an incredible transformation to them.
- Your client doesn’t show up on their A game. They haven’t invested in you so they’re not compelled to do the work, to squeeze from you every last morsel of value. They don’t get the transformation you promised them.
The result? You’re burned out from giving so much in return for so little. You lose faith in your ability to deliver the transformational coaching you spent so long bloody mastering. Your referrals dry up because no results = no clients. No clients = no business.
On the flip side, imagine making ‘earning a TON of money’ your WHY…
Your motivation for springing out of bed in the morning is watching your bank balance grow.
As your money mindset strengthens, you start charging premium prices so you can work with fewer clients, on a far deeper level and watch them bask in the results you promised them.
You have money to invest back into your business — what’s that you say? Pay someone else to help you grow so you can sign up MORE of those high-ticket clients. Don’t mind if I do. More clients = more impact on your corner of the universe.
You have money to invest in growing your team. Surround yourself with other incredible humans so your time is free to… guess what? Spend on getting even more transformational results with those bloody fabulous, aligned, dream clients.
You have money to donate to causes close to your heart. Doing good feels good. Do more of it.
You have money to support the lifestyle that makes you happy. Yes, it’s OK for money to make you happy.
It’s ok to want a beautiful home.
It’s ok to want an amazing car.
It’s ok to want luxury holidays.
You don’t need to be rich to be happy. That’s 100% true. But I’ve been poor & happy and I’ve been rich & happy and I know which I prefer.
Having plenty of money allows you to be the BEST coach you can be.
It’s never JUST about the money, of course. It’s not like you want to hole up in your basement alone counting your gold while laughing maniacally!
If you’re like me, you LOVE what you do and you want to make a ton of money doing it so you can be the BEST version of yourself in every aspect of your life.
The best coach. The best mentor. The best partner. The best mother. The best friend.
So stop allowing yourself to be bullied…
Stop being nagged into focussing solely on your purpose, your mission.
MAKE A STAND FOR THE AND
I want to be wealthy AND have an impact on the lives of women around the world.
Focus on the money. Expect the money. Always expect more money.
Use it to do good things, for others and for yourself.
